It’s also the only place to enjoy Carnie Blood, a beer made in honor of the Tour de Fat Carnies that make this tour possible every year. Carnie Blood Vol. 3 is an Imperial Stout brewed with two single-origin cocoas and chicory. All donations and proceeds from beer and merchandise sales will go to Chicago-area non-profits, West Town Bikes and CHIRP.
The main stage in Chicago will feature Dr. Dog and Mucca Pazza. Dr. Dog is a Philly-based Neo-Americana Psych Rock outfit that draws inspiration from the Rolling Stones, the Velvet Underground and soul music. Mucca Pazza, a hometown Chicago band, combines theater and marching band vibes with rock band flare. The twenty-plus piece ensemble knows how to get the party going complete with mismatched uniforms, cheerleading, crazy theatrics, and true musical talent.
Tour de Fat is said to be "best described by being there," but in case you want a visual:
